Item <br />1 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 0-17-04 <br />2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON AMENDING THE EXISTING REDEVELOPMENT PLAN <br />3 FOR DOWNTOWN NO. 1, CONCERNING TIME LIMITATIONS FOR <br />4 ISSUING DEBT PURSUANT TO SB 211. <br />5 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton adopted Ordinance 1179 on <br />6 January 15, 1964 which created the Downtown I Redevelopment Project Area; and <br />7 WHEREAS, pursuant to Senate Bill 211, which became effective on January 1, <br />8 2002 ("SB 211"), all redevelopment plans which contain specific time limits on the establishment <br />of loans, advances and indebtedness may be amended to eliminate said time limitations; and <br />9 WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Plans for the existing Redevelopment Project <br />10 Areas in the City of Colton may be amended to conform with SIB 211; and <br />11 WHEREAS, in adopting an ordinance pursuant to Health and Safety Code <br />§33333.6(e)(2) to amend a Redevelopment Plan in accordance with SB 211, neither the City <br />12 Council of the City of Colton nor the Redevelopment Agency for the City of Colton is required to <br />13 comply with Division 24 of Part 1 of Article 12, commencing with Health and Safety Code §33450 <br />14 which sets forth requirements for amending redevelopment plans. <br />1511 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />16 SECTION 1. Approval. Time limitations on incurring debtforthe Redevelopment <br />17 Plan for Downtown No. 1 (December 2, 1996), is hereby eliminated pursuantto the provisions of <br />Health and Safety Code §33333.6(e)(2) and the Agency shall be eligible to incur debt during the <br />18 term of the existing Redevelopment Plan for Downtown No. 1. <br />19 SECTION 2. Further Acts. The City Clerk is hereby authorized,and directed to <br />20 certify the passage of this Ordinance. <br />SECTION 3. Effective Date.
