RESOLUTION NO. R-128-04 <br />1 <br />2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FOR THE STATE <br />3 URBAN PARKS AND COMMUNITIES PROGRAM UNDER THE CALIFORNIA <br />4 CLEAN WATER, CLEAN AIR, SAFE NEIGHBORHOOD PARKS AND COASTAL <br />PROTECTION ACT OF 2002 FOR THE COLTON POLICE <br />5 DEPARTMENT/NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICES/POLICE ACTIVITIES LEAGUE <br />YOUTH SPORTS RECREATION CENTER. <br />6 <br />7 WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted the California Clean <br />8 Water, Clean Air, Safe Neighborhood Parks and Coastal Protection Act of 2002, which <br />9 provides funds to the State of California for grants to eligible applicants; and <br />10 WHEREAS, the California Department of Parks and Recreation has been delegated <br />11 the responsibility for the administration of the State and Urban Parks and Communities <br />12 Program and the grant Project shown above within the State, setting up necessary <br />13 procedures; and <br />14 WHEREAS, said procedures established by the California Department of Parks and <br />15 Recreation require the Applicant's Governing Body to certify by resolution the approval of <br />16 the Application before submission of said Application to the State; and <br />17 WHEREAS, the Applicant will enter into a Contract with the State of California for <br />18 the Project. <br />19 <br />20 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />21 DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />22 1. Approval for the filing of an Application for local assistance funds from the <br />23 <br />State and Urban Parks and Communities Program under the California Clean <br />24 <br />25 Water, Clean Air, Safe Neighborhood Parks and Coastal Protection Act of 2002 <br />26 in an amount not to exceed $1,000,000; and <br />27 <br />28 <br />1 <br />i <br />
