A MAJOR VARIANCE TO EXCEED THE HEIGHT OF A WALL FROM 8 FEET <br />TO 13 FEET ON THE SOUTH PORTION OF THE PROPERTY IS ALSO BEING <br />REQUESTED. THE METAL SHREDDER WOULD BE RELOCATED FROM AN <br />EXISTING FACILITY IN CARSON TO THE CITY OF COLTON WHERE IT WOULD <br />SHRED RAW METAL SOURCES (CAR BODIES, APPLIANCES, ETC.) AND <br />SEPARATE METAL AND NON-METAL MATERIAL BY PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL <br />MEANS. TRANSLOADING WOULD INCREASE FROM 25,100 TONS TO 37,620 TONS <br />PER MONTH (APPROXIMATELY 50% OVER THE AMOUND PERMITTED BY THE <br />EXISTING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT). LOCATION: 785 EAST "M" STREET AND <br />PORTIONS OF THE ADJACENT UNION PACIFIC RAIL YARD (LOCATED SOUTH OF <br />1-10 AND WEST OF MOUNT VERNON AVENUE AND THE 1-215 FREEWAY): APN: <br />163-041-39. <br />Mayor Declares the Public Hearing Open. <br />City Clerk Submits the Affidavit of Publication and Reports on Protests or Objections <br />Thereto. <br />Staff Presentation. <br />After Hearing Public Comment, on Motion by Councilmember , Seconded by <br />Councilmember , the Public Hearing is Terminated. <br />Consider: Approve and Adopt RESOLUTION NOS.
