ELECTRIC UTILITY PROJECT MANAGER CITY OF COLTON <br />Page 2 of 3 <br />within the City limits. Occasional lifting up to twenty-five pounds such as files, stacks of papers <br />and reference books. The position requires near, far, and color vision. <br />QUALIFICATIONS: <br />Education and/or Experience: <br />Any combination of experience and education that has provided the knowledge, skills and <br />abilities necessary for an Electric Utility Project Manager. A typical way of obtaining the <br />required qualifications is to possess four years of related experience including electric utility <br />experience, project management experience, analytical report writing, research, program <br />evaluation, and use of asset management systems and software. A bachelor's degree in <br />public administration, business administration, or a related field is required. A master's <br />degree in business administration or related field may be substituted for six months of the <br />required experience. <br />License/Certificate: <br />Possession of a valid class "C" California driver's license. <br />KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SHILLS: <br />Knowledge of: <br />Operations and standard operating procedures of an Electric Utility program including <br />source of supply, measurable units, and meters. <br />Principles of data collection and analysis. <br />Methods and techniques for research and report writing principles. <br />Principles of statistical and financial analysis. <br />Basic accounting principles. <br />Principles of project tracking. <br />Applicable Federal, State, and local laws, codes, and regulations. <br />Common legal descriptions and procedures for the acquisition of real property. <br />Occupational hazards and standard safety practices. <br />Proper English, spelling, and grammar. <br />Modern Office Equipment, including a computer and applicable software. <br />Ability to: <br />Communicate effectively orally and in writing. <br />Plan and implement complex projects and programs. <br />Establish effective working relationships. <br />Prepare, review and approve comprehensive reports, contracts, plans, specifications and <br />estimates for pertinent projects. <br />Analyze statistical and financial data and trends forecasting. <br />Prepare and interpret tables, charts, graphs, and flow charts. <br />Skill to: <br />Operate computer and applicable software. <br />Operate a motor vehicle on City streets. <br />Approved By Council: <br />
