ITEM #11 <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF AUGUST 16, 2005 <br />TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br />FROM: AMER JAKHER, P.E., CITY ENGINEER (FD) <br />SUBJECT: FINAL ACCEPTANCE/NOTICE OF COMPLETION FOR <br />REPAIR OF VARIOUS CITY STREETS PROJECT. <br />DATE: AUGUST 8, 2005 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On February 15, 2005, the City Council authorized the award of contract for Repair of Various <br />City Streets Project. This project was in response to numerous potholes that deteriorated various <br />streets due to heavy and continuous rains in the early part of January 2005. To address this, staff <br />recommended asphalt overlay of one and half inch (1-1 /2") on those streets. <br />ANALYSIS/DISCUSSION: <br />Streets repaired by this project are: <br />1. La Cadena Dr — S/B lane (South of Barton to La Loma) - 17,090 SF <br />2. Valley Blvd. — E/B and W/B Lane (West of Pepper) - 925346 SF <br />3 Valley Blvd — W/B lane (West of Rancho Ave.) - 6,180 SF <br />Total - 115,616 SF <br />The contractor has completed the work in the amount of $93,618.18 and satisfied all the <br />requirements of contract terms and agreement for this project. <br />CONFLICT OF INTEREST: <br />Exact Business Name: <br />International Pavement Solutions <br />President or equal: <br />Dennis C.
