Council Meeting of January 18, 2005
Consider Re -Approval of the State Office of Emergency Services (OES)
Fire Engine Agreement
Page 2
DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS, (continued):
The City Attorney has reviewed the attached Agreement, and Risk Management has
reviewed the insurance requirements called for in the Agreement. The City Attorney
recommends that the City Council authorize the City Manager to sign the Agreement.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Staffing costs related to mutual aid responses to any of the forest agencies in the State,
and also declared emergencies, are fully reimbursed by the State. There is the
possibility of occasional mutual aid to other local governments that would not be
reimbursed; however, this practice is consistent with the State Master Mutual Aid
Agreement, which the City has signed.
Routine maintenance called for in the agreement would total approximately $450 per
year.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT:
None.
CONLFICT OF INTEREST
None.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of the attached Agreement for Temporary Transfer of
Vehicular Equipment with the State Office of Emergency Services, and requests that
Council authorize the City Manager to sign the agreement for the City.
Attachments — Agreement for Temporary Transfer of Vehicular Equipment
REVIEW TEAM ONLY
City Afforney: I - - Qu& -
Finance Director:
OTHER:
