Section 2 - Jurisdiction Information <br />2.1 Adoption by local governing body <br />IFR REQUIR��,N.T [The local hazard mitigation plan shall include] documentation <br />�201.6(c)(S): that the plan has been formally adopted by the governing body <br />of the jurisdiction requesting approval of the plan (e.g., City <br />Council, County Commissioner, Tribal Council) .. . <br />Explanation: Adoption by the local governing body demonstrates the <br />jurisdiction's commitment to fulfilling the mitigation goals and <br />obj ectives outlined in the plan. Adoption legitimizes the plan <br />and authorizes responsible agencies to execute their <br />responsibilities.
