Communication towers and communication antennas processed under <br />subsection A shall be reviewed and approved by the Planning Commission using the <br />3 Architectural and Site Plan Review provisions of Section 18.58.030. <br />4 C. New freestanding communication towers and communication antennas shall <br />5 also be allowed in the M-1 (light industrial) and M-2 (heavy industrial) zoning districts. Such <br />freestanding communication towers and communication antennas will not be allowed unless <br />6 the applicant demonstrates that: <br />7 1. Existing towers and buildings do not afford the applicant the <br />technological ability to provide service to the service area of the applicant or service provider; <br />8 and <br />9 2. It is not technologically possible to bifurcate the geographical <br />boundaries of the proposed service area in order to avoid the necessity for a freestanding <br />10 communication tower or communication antenna. <br />11 D. New freestanding communication towers and communication antennas <br />processed under subsection C shall be reviewed and approved by the Planning Commission <br />12 using the Architectural and Site Plan Review provisions of Section 18.58.030. <br />13 E. New freestanding communication towers and communication antennas may <br />14 allowed in other non-residential zoning districts in the city provided such communication <br />towers and communication antennas comply with the following: <br />15 1. The communication tower or communication antenna is stealthed or <br />16 camouflaged to look like a structure or feature that blends with the surrounding area. <br />17 2. The communication tower or communication antenna is located at least <br />500 feet from residentially zoned property. <br />18 <br />3. The applicant demonstrates that: <br />19 <br />a. Existing towers and buildings do not afford the applicant the <br />20 technological ability to provide service to the service area of the applicant or service provider; <br />and <br />21 b. It is not technologically possible to bifurcate the geographical <br />boundaries of the proposed service area in order to avoid the necessity for a freestanding <br />22 communication tower or communication antenna. <br />23 F. Communication towers and communication antennas processed under <br />24 subsection E shall be reviewed and approved by the Planning Commission using the <br />Architectural and Site Plan Review provisions of Section 18.58.030. <br />25 G. New freestanding communication towers and communication antennas located <br />26 within 500 feet of residentially zoned property and in residentially zoned property may be <br />allowed provided such communication towers and communication antennas comply with the <br />27 following: <br />28 1: The communication tower or communication antenna is stealthed or <br />ORANGE\MXM\19901.1 _ 3 _ <br />
