FISCAL IMPACT: <br />This position is not a General Fund funded position and will be paid for in the current year from <br />funds in the existing budget in account # 100-6040-6043-1010 (salaries) and 100-6040-6043- <br />1100 (salary related benefits). In future years this position will be part of the Customer Service <br />budget which will be allocated to the Enterprise Funds with a minimal increase from the existing <br />budget levels. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />None <br />CONFLICT OF INTEREST — GIFT DISCLOSURE REQUIREMENTS <br />None <br />ALTERNATIVE: <br />Direct staf to maintain the current staffing levels and add the system maintenance to the existing <br />staff in the Information Services Division. This could create a slower response for service <br />requests from other departments as the billing system will require a priority response. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that the City Council approve the recruitment, ratification of employee <br />appointment, to the position of Network Technician. <br />
