This is the first of two rounds of funding that will be offered during CaIHFA's 2005-2006 <br />fiscal year. ` <br />We are proud to report that the HELP Program is in its eighth year of funding low interest <br />deferred housing loans to local agencies for innovative, diverse, and comprehensive housing <br />programs. As of this date, the Agency has awarded $140 million in funds under the program for <br />the projects and programs of 94 local government entities statewide, which is expected to result <br />in the production of nearly 18,000 affordable housing units. <br />We look forward to your application for HELP funds. For your convenience, we have enclosed <br />the HELP guidelines and requirements for the application package, and request that you pay <br />particular attention to the "priorities" and "proposal limitations" sections (page 3) for this funding <br />round.
