R-1 31 -09 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON TO ACCEPT A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$173,366.32 FROM THE OFFICE OF TRAFFIC SAFETY (OTS) <br />AND AMEND THE 2005/2006 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET <br />WHEREAS, The Budget for the City of Colton for the Fiscal Year commencing <br />July 1, 2005 and ending June 30, 2006 was approved and adopted June 21, 2005; and <br />WHEREAS, The approved budget is in accordance with all applicable ordinances <br />of the City of Colton and all applicable statutes of the State; and <br />WHEREAS, on September 29, 2005, the California State Office of Traffic Safety <br />(OTS) awarded a grant in the amount of $173,366.32 to the City of Colton Police <br />Department for the Traffic Safety Project as detailed in the OTS Grant Application. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES <br />HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. It is necessary to approve and accept this STATE OTS <br />TRAFFIC SAFETY GRANT in the amount of $173,366.32 to the Revenue Account 225- <br />5880-000. <br />SECTION 2. It is necessary to make an amendment to the 2005/2006 <br />Fiscal Year Budget, appropriating funds to account number 225-6070-6087 for <br />$173,366.32. <br />SECTION 3. The amendment is hereby approved, adopted and <br />incorporated herein. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of October, 2005. <br />Deirdre H. Bennett, Mayor <br />
