CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF SEPTEMBER 6, 2005 <br />TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL <br />FROM: Tom Hendrix, Fire Chief <br />ITEM #17 <br />SUBJECT: Approve Acceptance of a Donation to the Fire Department <br />from Hugo Neu- Proler Co. and Adopt a Resolution Amending <br />the Budget for the Fiscal Year Commencing on July 1, 2005 <br />and Ending on June 30, 2006 <br />DATE: August 29, 2005 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On June 28, 2005, the Fire Department received a $2,000 donation from Hugo Neu — <br />Proler Co. Their intent is to give $500 to the Fire Department "Make a Child Smile" fund <br />and $1,500 for firefighting equipment. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />Finance will write a check for $500 to "Make a Child Smile" and the remaining donation <br />will be used to purchase new specification fire shelters for firefighters. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />Acceptance of this donation requires an amendment to the 2005/2006 Fiscal Year <br />Budget.
