336 Council inquired about the need for a Temporary Community Center Aide. Mr. Lofy replied that due to the nature of programs at the Luque Center, the Facility Coordinator is required to be out of the Center considerably. Mr. Lofy said the Facility Coordinator at Luque does a lot of Social in-home service and, in that particular area of the community, there is a definite need for her services, therefore, the temporary person is needed to man the Center, answer the telephone, and respond to questions. Mayor Huntoon asked what had happened to the Hot Water Well and why was it not used for the City Pool. Discussion followed, with Councilman Rehrer stating the water from tt Hot Well was running into the river and Director Lofy saying that at the time the pool was being constructed, the Hot Water Line was found to be deteriorating with much sand in the line. Mr. Lofy said at that time and even now he believes it would be more beneficial to pay for the construction of the line rather than to keep paying the cost of gas for heating the pool. Mr. Lofy said the Plunge Salaries are up this year based on the opening and closing dates and the opening of the pool for special functions. Mr. Lofy said the cost of pool chemicals is difficult to calculate because the type of summer experienced has a direct bearing on the usage amount. Mr. Lofy reported under Capital Improvements, the purchase of a Metal Shed from Revenue Sharing funds is proposed, to be used for storage of pool apparatus. Mr. Lofy said also under Capital Improvements is the Accoustics under the Office of Aging. As a last item, Mr. Lofy said it may be possible to pay for the Locker Attendant through CETA Funds. Budget General City Manager Elliott reported the final sales tax compilations have been received and the overall revenue from the state shows an increase of $103,486 for the current fiscal year over previous estimates.
