393 <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 15, 1983 <br />A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held <br />on the above given date at 7:30 P. m., in the Council Chambers of <br />City Hall, Mayor Huntoon presiding. <br />�. Mayor Huntoon led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />Invocation was offered by Councilman Leroy Rehrer. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Council Members present were Rios, Cisneros, Rehrer, Garcia, and <br />Mayor Huntoon. Also present were City Manager Elliott, City At- <br />torney Edwards, and City Clerk Ramos. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR: <br />NMinutes <br />November 1, 1983• <br />Warrants <br />c[ 31711 through 31980 <br />Q 111566 through 111762 <br />November 10, 1983, inclusive. <br />Bids <br />Award of Bid to McGraw -Edison Company, $9,388.42, and WESCO, <br />$4,496.52, for Transformers, Electric Department. <br />Bids <br />Request to advertise for Bids, new Staff car, Fire Department. <br />Deeds <br />Offer of dedication for street right-of-way on La Crosse Avenue, <br />Girl Scouts of America Council Office (Darwin). <br />Claims <br />Laura Finney and James Ott; Oton Villegas, American Mailing <br />Equipment, and Jessie Acosta; Bobbie Cloutier; versus the City <br />of Colton. Recommend denial. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to <br />approve the Consent Calendar. Unanimous vote. <br />MAYOR'S REPORTS AND PROCLAMATIONS: <br />Proclamations <br />Councilwoman Cisneros read in full a Proclamation declaring Decem- <br />ber 1, 1983, as AWARENESS OF DRUNK & DRUGGED DRIVING DAY. The <br />Proclamation was accepted by Mrs. Winnie Hoon, of the Colton Woman's <br />Club, who will conduct a Candlelight Walk on that day. <br />Mayor Huntoon read in full a Proclamation designating November 20 <br />through 26, 1983, as FAMILY WEEK. <br />Boards & Commissions <br />Planning Commission: <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios, ratify- <br />ing Mayor's appointment of Richard Prieto to the Planning Commission. <br />Motion carried, with Councilwoman Garcia voting NO. <br />Library Board: <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, ratify- <br />ing Mayor's appointment of Eleanor Beckwith to the Library Board. <br />Unanimous vote. <br />Cemetery Commission: <br />N 0 V 1 5 1983 <br />
