Councilman Rehrer said he was sorry that his children could not be present this <br />evening to join in the celebration of this great occassion, however, he would 4 41 <br />like to thank all of those people involved in his campaign for their hard work <br />and support, and especially his wife, Evelyn. Mr. Rehrer said he also agrees with <br />Councilwoman Garcia that City employees should be allowed to become actively in- <br />volved in politics without fear of losing their job or being discriminated against. <br />Mayor Huntoon stated he would also like to thank everyone that participated in his <br />campaign, especially his campaign manager and wife, and his wife, Pauline. Mayor <br />Huntoon said all of the people should be appreciative of the candidates that ran <br />for office, for their willingness to serve the City, and everyone that did run for <br />office, win or lose, are still winners because they did run. <br />Mayor Pro Tempore <br />Councilwoman Cisneros nominated Councilman Rehrer for Mayor Pro Tempore. <br />Moved by Mayor Huntoon, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to close the nominations <br />for Mayor Pro Tempore.
