Unanimous vote. <br />MAYOR'S REPORTS AND PROCLAMATIONS: <br />Resolution of Commendation <br />Mayor Huntoon read in full. a Resolution of Commendation on behalf of <br />Sue Woodstra, team captain of the United States Women's Volleyball <br />Team, for winning a silver medal at the 1984 Olympic Games. The Reso- <br />lution was accepted by Miss Woodstra's grandmother, Mrs. Christopher- <br />son. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />Personnel <br />Res. No. 4498 <br />City Manager Elliott advised that the necessary material concerning <br />the proposed job description for Chief Building Inspector is not yet <br />available, and therefore Staff is requesting that the Public Hearing- <br />ing be continued to the next regular Council Meeting of September 4, <br />1984. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to con- <br />tinue the Public Hearing to Tuesday, September 4, 1984. Vote was <br />unanimous. <br />MMUNITY SERVICES DIRECTOR'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATION <br />Agreements/Fees <br />Acting Director of Community Services John Hutton reported on the pro- <br />posed water and sewer extension for future development of the Reche <br />Canyon area, advising that Metropolitan Development Corporation is <br />proposing the development of a 278 single family residential subdivi- <br />sion in the Reche Canyon area, and in order to develop the proposed <br />subdivision, it is necessary to install several offsite utilities <br />which would be of great benefit to the entire Reche Canyon area and <br />its residents. <br />Mr. Hutton continued that Metropolitan Development Corporation is re- <br />questing the Council consider deferring their prospective fees in lieu <br />of the major costs for the installation of the offsite sewer and water <br />systems, and additionally, consider entering into a reimbursement <br />agreement for a period of ten years. <br />AUG 211%4 <br />
