Recommend denial. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios, to ap- <br />prove the Consent Calendar. Unanimous vote. <br />MAYOR'S REPORTS AND PROCLATIONS: <br />Resolution of Congratulations <br />Mayor Huntoon read in full a Resolution of Congratulations on behalf <br />of Augustine Caldera, Sanitation Superintendent, on his retirement <br />from the City of Colton. The Resolution was accepted by Mr. Caldera. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />General Plan Amendment <br />Res. No. 4475 <br />Mayor Huntoon declared the Public Hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported <br />that no protests or objections had been received. <br />Planning Director Aguilera reported on the General Plan Amendment <br />requested by The Clureman Company, Inc., from medium density residen- <br />tial to high density residential on property located on the southwest <br />corner of Colton Avenue and Harbor Drive, consisting of approximately <br />10.69 acres, which is currently vacant and is zoned R-3, multiple <br />family residential. The applicant desires to develop the property <br />with 200 apartment units, which would yield a density of approximate- <br />ly 19 units per acre, somewhat higher than what is allowed if granted <br />the General Plan Amendment. <br />Mr. A.guilera concluded the Planning Commission has recommended ap- <br />proval of the General Plan Amendment as outlined in Planning Commis- <br />sion Resolution No. 2008, and if the Council concurs, adoption of <br />Resolution No. 4475 would be in order. <br />Mayor Huntoon asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter. <br />Mr. Don Clureman, applicant, stated he would be happy to answer any <br />questions that anyone may have regarding the project. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios, to termi- <br />nate the Public Hearing. Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios, to ap- <br />prove RESOLUTION NO. 4475. Unanimous vote. <br />JUN 19 1984 <br />
