<br />Councilman Rios read in full a Proclamation declaring the month of
<br />October, 1984, as DIABETES RESEARCH MONTH. The Proclamation was ac-
<br />cepted by Dr. Charles Herbert, representing the Juvenile Diabetes
<br />Foundation International.
<br />Councilwoman Garcia read in full a Proclamation declaring the week of
<br />October 7 through 13, 1984, as DISABLED ARTISTS WEEK.
<br />Mayor Hunton read in full a Proclamation declaring the week of Octo-
<br />ber 14 through 20, 1984, as TRAFFIC SAFETY WEEK.
<br />Councilman Rehrer read in full. a Proclamation declaring October 24,
<br />1984, as UNITED NATIONS DAY.
<br />Councilman Rios read in full a Proclamation declaring the month of
<br />October, 1984, as TOASTMASTERS COMMUNICATIONS MONTH. The Proclama-
<br />tion was accepted by Mr. Bruce Rummer.

<br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported
<br />she had received a Petition containing 56 signatures in opposition.
<br />Planning Director Aguilera reported the applicant submitted a re-
<br />design of a previously approved Tentative Tract, 1.0048, which was
<br />originally approved by the Planning Commission on January 13, 1981,
<br />and received an extension by the Commission, that will expire on
<br />November 19, 1985.
