Proclamations <br />Mayor Gonzales read in full Proclamations honoring PTA MEMBERSHIP EN- <br />ROLLMENT MONTH, accepted by Eunice Moore of Agua Mansa PTA; BICENTEN- <br />NIAL OF THE UNITED STATED CONSTITUTION, September 17, 1987, accepted <br />by Hazel Olsen; and PUBLIC POWER WEEK, October 4 - 10, 1987, accepted <br />by Fred Cordova, Chairman, Utilities Commission. <br />Resolution of Commendation <br />Mayor Gonzales read in full a RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION for Alice Navor, <br />expressing the City's appreciation and thanks for her many years of <br />service to the City with the summer youth programs. <br />Ms. Lori Crampton reported on the Summer Youth Program, advising there <br />were 70 youths participating in the Program, and it went very well. <br />Resolution of Support <br />Councilwoman Garcia read in full a RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT in maintaining <br />the Mexican Consulate Offices in the Inland Empire area. Mrs. Garcia <br />stated the Resolution would be forwarded to Mr. Rodriguez of the Mexican <br />Consulate Offices. <br />„^ National League of Cities <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Rios, appointing <br />Mayor Gonzales as the Voting Delegate to the National League of Cities <br />for the Annual Congress of Cities, December 12 - 16, 1987, with Council- <br />women Cisneros and Garcia as the Alternate Voting Delegates. Vote was <br />unanimous. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />Personnel <br />Res. No. R-117-87 <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. <br />Personnel Officer Keane submitted the Affidavit of Posting and reported <br />that no protests or objections had been received. <br />Human Resource Manager Colleen McCloud reported on amending the City's <br />Pay and Classification Plan to include the position of Building Mainte- <br />nance Superintendent, which involves additional duties and responsibil- <br />ities for the existing position of Supervising Custodian, under the <br />Public Works Operation Division. A new job description has been devel- <br />oped to incorporate these expanded duties and responsibilities. The <br />salary range recommended is 8.0 and this position will be placed in the <br />Management/Confidential Unit. <br />3 <br />
