PUBLIC HEARINGS: Res. No. R-66-88 Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. Personnel Officer Benest submitted the Affidavit of Posting and re- ported that no protests or objections had been received. City Manager Benest reported on the new position of Senior Customer Service Representative, approved in the 1988-89 Budget, for the Admini- strative Services Department. The salary range for this position will be 14.0, and will be placed in the General Unit. Mr. Benest concluded Staff recommends adoption of the Job Description for the position of Senior Customer Service Representative and Resolu- tion No. R-66-88. Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter. Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman. Rios, to close the the Public Hearing. Unanimous vote. Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to approve the Job Description for Senior Customer Service Representative and adopt Resolution No. R-66-88. Unanimous vote. RESOLUTION NO. R-66-88 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON AMENDTNG RESOLUTION NO. R-160-88. CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: Administrative Policies City Vehicles Assistant City Manager Keane reported from a memorandum regarding a pro- posed policy regulating employee use of City vehicles, and identified conditions under which City employees would receive an automobile allow- ance or be assigned use of a City vehicle. Ms. Keane advised this policy has not yet been discussed with the em- ployee associations, however, after Council action, Staff would meet with all of the associations and discuss this matter. Ms. Keane concluded Staff recommends Council adopt the proposed City Policy governing the use of City vehicles. Mayor Gonzales recommended that Item No. 8 of the proposed Policy should include in the statement that the City Council shall designate those employees eligible for automobile allowances. 2
