Street Closure <br />City Manager Benest referred to a memorandum from Director of Public Works <br />John Hutton recommending the closure of Mill Street, from Rancho Avenue <br />easterly to the east side of Mill Street over the bridge, to everyone with <br />the exception of local residents and businesses, for a period of approxi- <br />mately 35 days, during the construction of the Mill Street Storm Drain. <br />Mr. Benest referred to letters from Mayor Evelyn Wilcox and Councilman <br />Jess Flores, from the City of San Bernardino, requesting the City recon- <br />sider this matter, due to the approaching holiday season and the effect on <br />the business areas of Fedco and the Inland Center, as well as the major <br />route of travel to/from Norton Air Force Base. <br />oil <br />
