Street Closure City Manager Benest referred to a memorandum from Director of Public Works John Hutton recommending the closure of Mill Street, from Rancho Avenue easterly to the east side of Mill Street over the bridge, to everyone with the exception of local residents and businesses, for a period of approxi- mately 35 days, during the construction of the Mill Street Storm Drain. Mr. Benest referred to letters from Mayor Evelyn Wilcox and Councilman Jess Flores, from the City of San Bernardino, requesting the City recon- sider this matter, due to the approaching holiday season and the effect on the business areas of Fedco and the Inland Center, as well as the major route of travel to/from Norton Air Force Base. oil
