Unanimous vote. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />Boards & Commissions <br />Cemetery Commission <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, <br />ratifying appointment of Teresa Constant to the Cemetery Commission. <br />Unanimous vote. <br />Ministerial Association <br />Rev. Jack Coleburn, 1405 Wildwood, Pastor of First Assembly of God <br />Church and member of the Colton Ministerial Association, spoke to the <br />City Council with regard to the "DARE" Program, which originated in <br />Los Angeles approximately 5 years ago, and centers on drug abuse and <br />rehabilitating drug addicts. <br />Rev. Coleburn advised this Program is through the combined efforts of <br />Police Departments and School Districts and their interaction. Rev. <br />Coleburn said there are no grant monies available for funding of this <br />Program, however, the Ministerial Association feels it is such a <br />worthwhile Program and has proven so effective, it is being request <br />ed that the City Council check into this matter and give it every <br />consideration. <br />Mayor Gonzales suggested that Staff get together with members of DARE <br />and the Ministerial Association to see what can be accomplished. <br />CLOSED SESSION: <br />2 <br />
