Comments from City Officials <br />Councilman Roman thanked his family and all the citizens that elected <br />him to office, stating this was a very proud night for him. Mr. Roman <br />said he hoped the Council could all work together for the betterment <br />of Colton. Mr. Roman said he intended to donate one-half of his Council <br />salary for a one year period towards the rehabilitation of gang vio- <br />lence and drug problems. Mr. Roman concluded by again thanking every- <br />one for their vote of confidence. <br />Councilwoman Cisneros stated she would like to thank all the members of <br />her family and her committee who worked so hard for her re-election. <br />Mrs. Cisneros said she has an "open door" policy, her number is in the <br />telephone book, and she would be happy to talk to anyone at anytime. <br />Mrs. Cisneros asked her family and supporters to stand. <br />Mayor Gonzales stated this was a very happy moment for him, to be re- <br />elected as Mayor of Colton once again. Mayor Gonzales asked the members <br />of his family that were present to stand, and also acknowledged his <br />campaign committee. Mayor Gonzales said there is still much to do in <br />our City, and many things yet to be accomplished, and, hopefully, with <br />the cooperation and support of the other members of the City Council, <br />these challenges can become reality. <br />Reception <br />City Clerk Ramos announced there is coffee, punch and cookies in the <br />Conference Room for everyone after the Meeting. <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rehrer and unani- <br />mously passed, Mayor Gonzales adjourned the Meeting at 7:38 p. m. <br />HELEN A.
