City Manager Stratton replied Staff is not in a position to do that this evening. Mr. Akluf i then stated he would suggest the Council deny this recommen- dation at this point and let them continue with their plans. Mr. Martin Vega, 247 West Stevens Street, Colton, and member of the Planning Commission, stated the Council needs to consider this item more seriously. Mr. Vega advised the Planning Commission did alot of study on this matter, and the Council should seriously reconsider revo- cation of these permits. Mayor Gonzales stated back in 1981 the Planning Commission was author- ized to approve Variances and CUPs. Mayor Gonzales said this type of action would be a disservice to the Planning Commission. Mayor Gonzales concluded this matter will probably go into Court and the City will be faced with legal fees. After additional discussion, moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Lofy, to approve Staff's recommendation as outlined re- garding Adams Advertising. Upon Roll Call, the Vote was: AYES: Three; Cisneros, Rehrer, Lofy. NOES: Two; Roman, Gonzales. ABSENT: None. Motion carried.
