Councilman Lofy stated he felt the City cannot afford to be negligent <br />and that we must keep up our parks. Mr. Lofy stated we now have the <br />West Side Park and there is a park site in Reche Canyon. Mr. Lofy con- <br />cluded there are expenses involved to the City in keeping up these parks. <br />Members of the Parks & Recreation Commission spoke to the Council stat- <br />ing the City is in need of park development fees, especially in lieu of <br />the fact that the Park Bond monies are slowly being depleted: <br />Beverly Bentley, 1150 South Meadow Lane <br />Susan Carr, 1150 North La Cadena Drive <br />Deirdre Bennett, 720 Atchison Street <br />Trisha Ruminski, 3012 Shadid Drive <br />Also addressing the City Council with regard to the proposed park, the <br />dedication of land, fees involved, etc.: <br />Sal Rios, Parks & Recreation Commissioner, 1821 Evelyn Circle <br />George Fulp, 1497 Cindee Lane <br />Ramon Hernandez, Planning Commissioner, 999 Rose Street <br />After additional discussion, moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded <br />by Councilman Rehrer, to refer this matter back to the Parks & Recrea- <br />tion Commission for further study and review.
