ADJOURNED CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />May 14, 1991 <br />In accordance with notice duly and legally given, an Adjourned Regular <br />Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above <br />given date at 12:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor <br />Gonzales presiding. <br />'POT.T. rAT.T. <br />Councilmembers present were Roman, Cisneros, Rehrer, Lofy, and Mayor <br />Gonzales. Also present were City Manager Sotelo, City Attorney <br />Edwards and City Clerk Ramos. <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Ordinance No. 0-8-91 <br />City Attorney Edwards read Ordinance No. 0-8-91 in full for Second <br />Reading. <br />Council Member Lofy reported he had met with Jerome Washington, <br />Business License Inspector & Collections Officer and Betty Holder, <br />Account Technician II in the Finance Department, and pretty much <br />settled the matter for this year and state he will prepare a report <br />outlining plans for the future. <br />City Manager Sotelo reported for now, the Colton Community Church <br />will share half of their booth with the Max Lofy Pony/Colt League, <br />the Inland Christian Church has committed one-fourth of their walk- <br />in -traffic to the Colton Youth Football and the Gents Organization <br />has been approached to donate one-fourth of their booth proceeds <br />to the Colton Youth Soccer. The Gents Board will be voting on <br />this. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Mayor Gonzales, to delete the <br />last paragraph of the Ordinance. <br />Council Member Rehrer stated, the last paragraph precludes the <br />Chamber and School from being eligible to obtain permits. <br />Mr. Dawson, Executive Vice -President, Colton Chamber of Commerce <br />stated he was grateful for the consideration; however, for this <br />year they have arranged to share with someone and he does not desire <br />to further complicate the matter at this time. <br />Council Member Rehrer and Mayor Gonzales withdrew the motion. <br />Moved by Mayor Gonzales, seconded by Council Member Lofy, to adopt <br />Ordinance No. 0-8-91. Unanimous vote. <br />
