CORRESPONDENCE: Dr. Herbert Fischer, Colton High School Superintendent expressed his appreciation for the City Staff for their continued cooperation and assistance. Dr. Fischer stated School Staff and City Staff meet on a quarterly basis to plan and to anticipate issues. Dr. Fischer introduced members of the School Board, School Principals and Administrative Staff who were present. Dr. Fischer stated he has met with 25 organization, including the City of Colton over the past year to relay the plan they have for the students. Tonight he would like to provide an update on their five priority areas and he touched briefly on each of the following; 1. Student Performance, 2, Student Safety. 3. Facilities. 4. planning, 5. Budgeting, as well as, Personnel Development. Dr, Fischer concluded by saying the school system has .survived a four million dollar reduction in services. Cuts have already been made and the instructional program is intact and lay-offs have been avoided. 0
