COUNCIL MEETING <br />JULY 20, 1993 <br />A Regular Fleeting of the City Council of the City of Calton was held on the above <br />given date at 7:42 p. m,, in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, Mayor Gonzales <br />presiding. <br />FLAG SALUTE: <br />Mayor Gonzales led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />INVOCATION: <br />Invocation was Offered by Chaplain Michael C. Brooks. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Councilmembers present were Bennett, Sandoval, Rios, Cisneros, Cook, Beltran ,and <br />Mayor Gonzales. Also present were City Manager Young and City Clerk Ramos. <br />AGENDA REVIEW: <br />Myaor Gonzales announced receipt of a letter, today, from City Attorney Brown <br />tendering the Law Firm of Best, Best & Krieger's resignation, He announced that the <br />matter would be discussed in execution session. He .stated that the Resolution <br />appointing Julie Biggs as Deputy City Attorney has never been rescinded; therefore, <br />she was asked to assume the legal counsel's seat. <br />Councilmember Rios asked if Julie Biggs is under Best, Best & Krieger's employ. <br />Whereupon, Mayor Gonzales asked for City Clerk Ramos' advise. City Cleric. Ramos <br />stated that the Resolution (RESOLUTION NO, R-91-91) appointing Julie Biggs as <br />Deputy City Attorney has never been rescinded, amended or repealed. <br />Councilrnember Beltran inquired about salary for Mrs. Biggs.
