COUNCIL MEETING <br />MARCH 2, 1993 <br />A Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above <br />given date at 7:35 p, rn,, in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, Mayor Gonzales <br />presiding. <br />FLAG SALE: <br />Mayor Gonzales led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />Invocation was Offered by Chaplain Buddy Reeves. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Councilrnernbers present were Bennett, Sandoval, Rios, Cisneros, Cook, Beltran and <br />Mayor Gonzales. Also present were City Manager Lewis, City Attorney Brown and <br />City Clerk Ramos. <br />SPECIAL PRESENTATION <br />Mr. Mike Kathriner spore about the poster, commissioned by Hurnidial, entitled, <br />"Signs of Colton." He mentioned the monthly publication, Business Directory, by the <br />Chamber of Commerce. fir, Dick Dawson presented each councilmernber with a <br />signed copy of the poster and a copy of the directory, Mayor Gonzales expressed <br />appreciation for the presentation, <br />AGENDA REVIEW: <br />City Manager Lewis requested that Item 10 be removed from the agenda and that <br />Item 16 be continued to the March 16, 1993 meeting. <br />As to Item 5, after Mayor and Council discussion, it is agreed that the bid be approved <br />upon a three month guarantee of tree replacement if the tree is defective. City <br />Attorney advised that if this condition was not part of the original bid specifications <br />and it is important to Council action, the matter will need to be re -bid. Finance <br />Director Acevedo promised to review bid specifications and if there is no such <br />prevision, the matter will be returned to Council. <br />1 <br />
