COUNCIL MEETING <br />MAY 4, 1993 <br />A Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above <br />given date at 7:35 p. m., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, Mayor Gonzales <br />presiding. <br />FLAG SALUTE: <br />Mayor Gonzales led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />INVOCATION: <br />Invocation was Offered by Chaplain Buddy M, Reeves. <br />ROLL CALF.: <br />Councilmembers present were Bennett, Sandoval, Rios, Cisneros, Cook, Beltran and <br />Mayor Gonzales. Also present were Interim City Manager Young, Deputy City <br />Attorney Biggs and City Clerk Ramos. <br />PRIORITY ITEM: <br />With consent of City Council, Mayor Gonzales acknowleged the following speaker: <br />Mr. Fred Cordova, Chairman of the Utilities Commission, notified the City Council of <br />a bus trip scheduled for May 15, 1993 to Moorpark, CA., to see LEMMA. He invited <br />the Councilmembers to accompany the Utilities Commission. He said the Planning <br />Commission members would also be invited. The trip is a two-hour trip and the bus <br />will leave at 9:00 A. M,, with lunch to be taken at Moorpark where the Moorpark City <br />Council is expected to meet the Colton delegation. The group will return to Colton <br />by 5:00 P. M. <br />Mr. Cordova recognized Mr. Duane Sharp for his presentation at the previous meeting. <br />He thanked him for a job well done. <br />Deputy City Attorney Biggs advised that if a majority of the Councilmembers were <br />expected to meet on May '15th, the Mayor should declare tonight's meeting adjourned <br />to that date. Councilmembers Bennett, Sandoval, Cisneros, Cook and Mayor Gonzales <br />declared an interest in attending the trip. Councilmember Beltran stated he could not <br />attend and Councilmember Rios stated he would have to check his calendar to see if <br />1 <br />
