COUNCIL MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 71 1993 <br />A Regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was <br />held on the above given date at 7: 10 p. m. , in the Council Chambers <br />of the City Hall, Mayor Gonzales presiding. <br />FLAG SALUTE <br />Mayor Gonzales led the group in the Pledge of allegiance to the <br />Flag. <br />Invocation was offered by Chaplain Bob Johnsen. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Counciimembers present were Bennett, Sandoval, Rios, Cisneros, <br />Cook, Beltran and Mayor Gonzales. also present were City Manager <br />Young, City .Attorney Biggs and City Clerk Ramos. <br />CLOSED SESSION: <br />City attorney Julie Biggs announced the Council would be adjourning <br />to Closed Session to consider personnel matters persuant to <br />Government Code Section 54957 and litigation matters pursuant to <br />Government Code Section 54956.9(a). <br />The. Council adjourned to Closed Session at 7:15 p.m. and reconvened <br />at 7:42 p.m. all members present. <br />Attorney Biggs reported in the future Closed Session matters will. <br />be taken up at the beginning of the agenda. Generally in Closed <br />Session matters, there are attorneys involved and their time here <br />during the Council meetings is paid by the City. It is determined <br />that by reducing the time the attorneys have to wait will result in <br />a cost saving to the City. also, the firm of Brunick, .Alvarez & <br />Battersby have agreed to do their legal updates to the City on a. <br />4°no-charge' basis if the Closed. Sessions can be scheduled at the <br />beginning of the Agenda. <br />AGENDA REVIEW <br />With Cou.nci.l. approval, Mayor Gonzales announced that Consent <br />Calendar Items 9, 10 and 1.4, are being pulled for discussion <br />following approval of the Consent Calendar. <br />
