COUNCIL MEETING SEPTEMBER 71 1993 A Regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above given date at 7: 10 p. m. , in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, Mayor Gonzales presiding. FLAG SALUTE Mayor Gonzales led the group in the Pledge of allegiance to the Flag. Invocation was offered by Chaplain Bob Johnsen. ROLL CALL Counciimembers present were Bennett, Sandoval, Rios, Cisneros, Cook, Beltran and Mayor Gonzales. also present were City Manager Young, City .Attorney Biggs and City Clerk Ramos. CLOSED SESSION: City attorney Julie Biggs announced the Council would be adjourning to Closed Session to consider personnel matters persuant to Government Code Section 54957 and litigation matters pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(a). The. Council adjourned to Closed Session at 7:15 p.m. and reconvened at 7:42 p.m. all members present. Attorney Biggs reported in the future Closed Session matters will. be taken up at the beginning of the agenda. Generally in Closed Session matters, there are attorneys involved and their time here during the Council meetings is paid by the City. It is determined that by reducing the time the attorneys have to wait will result in a cost saving to the City. also, the firm of Brunick, .Alvarez & Battersby have agreed to do their legal updates to the City on a. 4°no-charge' basis if the Closed. Sessions can be scheduled at the beginning of the Agenda. AGENDA REVIEW With Cou.nci.l. approval, Mayor Gonzales announced that Consent Calendar Items 9, 10 and 1.4, are being pulled for discussion following approval of the Consent Calendar.
