Cemetery where <br />Memorial Dai Services will be conducted. <br />PUBLI-C CQN4MEN1 <br />Steve Anderson, Colton resident, gave an update on the Colton 1~reedon-. Initiative and the eight items of <br />concern. Mr. Anderson shared the results of his contacts with members of the Council regarding these <br />items, Julieiggs, City Attorney, cautioned Mr. Anderson regarding his attempts to contact members <br />of the Council in. order to get a consensus as this would be a violation of the Brown Act. <br />Pete Ramos, Gents ran-Mation representative, along with Gents' Member Joe "Rodriguez and Joe <br />Mujica4 reported. that the Gents Organization had been invited to participated in the Ci:nco fie Mayo <br />festivities and they would be in chane of the Beer Garden. Mr. Ramos explained that funds collected. <br />would. go towards youth activities in the City of Colton, <br />;tears Farrante, Colton residunt,spoke against funding the trip to e��� �� d rl . for members of the Council, <br />Jiro. Grimsby, Colton resident, spoke in favor of funding the trip to New York for members of the <br />Council. <br />Je <br />an Hart, " lto resident, spore in support of adoption of resolutionauthorizing funds order to <br />provide funds for support services to the frail and elderly residents of Colton. <br />Anthony Haig, Flutton Center Volunteerspoke in support of adoption of resolution authorizing funds in <br />order to provide funds for support services to the frail. and elderly residents of Colton, <br />Don Hines, Colton resident, spoke regarding the trees planted in the City's park. ,a is and the need. for <br />their continued. care. <br />. irmny Ramirez, Colton Youth. Soccer president, spoke on. the following. 1997 season program; <br />upcoming events, registration fees; and this year the league will be celebrating 20 years to existence. <br />:Fred Cordova, 1-1tilities Conu-nissioner, inquired about the New York trip and who would be attending <br />and shared his concern that the public needs to become, informed as to ghat. arethe responsibilities and <br />duties of Cornmissions a;nd encouraged the citizens to attend the various Commission Meetings in order <br />to be better i-n-fornied in order to be able to comment on the actions taken by Council based on <br />recornmendatioi�s by the various Commissions, such. as the 13tilities Commission. <br />John Mitchell, bell, t `olton. resident, thanked ed e reryone for the cards he received d��rin� his recent illness.
