SPECIAL COUNCIL METING <br />November 10, 1998 <br />A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held at 5:08 p.m., on the above - <br />given date in the Council Chambers of City Hall, located at 650 North La Cadena Drive, Colton, <br />California, Mayor Pro Tempore Cook presiding. Notice of Special Meeting was given on November <br />5, 1998, in compliance with Government Code Section 54956. <br />FLAG SALUTE: <br />Utilities Director Clarke led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Councilmembers present were Grimsby, Bennett, Hutton, Sanders, and Mayor Pro Tempore Cook. <br />Also present were City Manager Garcia and City Clerk Barrera. Councilmember Chastain appeared <br />at 5:11 p.m. Mayor Gaytan appeared at 5:13 p.m. <br />CITY MANAGER REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Pro osed Issuance of 1998 Water Revenue Bonds <br />City Manager Garcia presented for Council a request to adopt and approve the resolution authorizing <br />the execution of the all documents required consummating the sale of water revenue bonds in an <br />amount not to exceed $11,500,000. <br />Discussion followed with clarification provided by staff. <br />Motion by Councilmember Sanders, seconded by Councilmember Grimsby, to adoption and approval <br />of City Council Resolution No. R-101-98. Motion carried with Councilmember Hutton abstaining <br />and Mayor Gaytan absent. <br />CITY TREASURER: <br />CFD 90-1 (Mount Vernon Corridorl <br />City Manager Garcia requested this item be deferred until after the business of the Closed Session <br />Agenda to return for discussion and direction from Council. <br />CLOSED SESSION: <br />City Clerk Barrera announced that City Council would meet in Closed Session regarding the <br />following two matters of existing litigation pursuant to Government Code 54956.9(a): WHC — Three <br />Investors v. County of San Bernardino, et al. and Colton Redevelopment Agency v Plaza Las Glorias <br />Partnershiu. <br />1 <br />
