SPECIAL COUNCIL METING November 10, 1998 A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held at 5:08 p.m., on the above - given date in the Council Chambers of City Hall, located at 650 North La Cadena Drive, Colton, California, Mayor Pro Tempore Cook presiding. Notice of Special Meeting was given on November 5, 1998, in compliance with Government Code Section 54956. FLAG SALUTE: Utilities Director Clarke led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. ROLL CALL: Councilmembers present were Grimsby, Bennett, Hutton, Sanders, and Mayor Pro Tempore Cook. Also present were City Manager Garcia and City Clerk Barrera. Councilmember Chastain appeared at 5:11 p.m. Mayor Gaytan appeared at 5:13 p.m. CITY MANAGER REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: Pro osed Issuance of 1998 Water Revenue Bonds City Manager Garcia presented for Council a request to adopt and approve the resolution authorizing the execution of the all documents required consummating the sale of water revenue bonds in an amount not to exceed $11,500,000. Discussion followed with clarification provided by staff. Motion by Councilmember Sanders, seconded by Councilmember Grimsby, to adoption and approval of City Council Resolution No. R-101-98. Motion carried with Councilmember Hutton abstaining and Mayor Gaytan absent. CITY TREASURER: CFD 90-1 (Mount Vernon Corridorl City Manager Garcia requested this item be deferred until after the business of the Closed Session Agenda to return for discussion and direction from Council. CLOSED SESSION: City Clerk Barrera announced that City Council would meet in Closed Session regarding the following two matters of existing litigation pursuant to Government Code 54956.9(a): WHC — Three Investors v. County of San Bernardino, et al. and Colton Redevelopment Agency v Plaza Las Glorias Partnershiu. 1
