RESOLUTION NO. 794 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY FOR <br />THE CITY OF COLTON FINDING THAT AGGREGATING <br />FOR PURPOSES OF SATISFYING CERTAIN AFFORDABLE <br />HOUSING REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 33413 OF THE <br />HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE NEW OR SUBSTANTIALLY <br />REHABILITATED LOW- AND MODERATE -INCOME <br />HOUSING DEVELOPED IN ONE OR MORE PROJECT <br />AREAS IN THE CITY OF COLTON DOES NOT CAUSE <br />RACIAL OR ETHNIC SEGREGATION <br />WHEREAS, in the Housing Production Element of the Redevelopment <br />Implementation Plan (the "Housing Production Element"), the Redevelopment Agency for the <br />City of Colton (the "Agency") states that through December 3 1, 1999, a total of 2,256 dwelling <br />units had been developed within the Santa Ana River Project Area, the Mount Vernon Project <br />Area, the West Valley Project Area, the Cooley Ranch Project Area and the Rancho Mill <br />Project Area by public entities or persons other than the Agency-, and <br />WHEREAS, in the Housing Production Element, the Agency further states that <br />through December 31, 1999, a total of 399 dwelling units for occupancy by persons and <br />families of low or moderate income had been developed in one or more project areas of the <br />Agency, and <br />WHEREAS, Section 33413 of the Health and Safety Code ("Section 33413") <br />provides that at least fifleen percent (15%) of all new and substantially rehabilitated dwelling <br />units developed within a project area under the jurisdiction of an agency by public or private <br />entities or persons other than the agency shall be available at affordable housing cost to persons <br />and families of low or moderate income and that not less than forty percent (40%) of the <br />dwelling units required to be available at affordable housing cost to persons and families of low <br />or moderate income shall be available at affordable housing cost to very low income households <br />(the "affordable housing requirements"), and <br />-I- <br />
