Hernandez MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: Staff Present: Daryl Parrish, City Manager Dean Derleth, City Attorney Carolina P. Barrera, City Clerk POSSIBLE CONFLICT OF INTEREST ISSUES FOR THE COUNCIL MEETING OF OCTOBER 7, 2003. Mayor Bennett asked the members present if there were any agenda items that were a conflict of interest pursuant to CIVIC Section 2.04.030. None disclosed. CEREMONIAL MATTERS: Presentations, Awards, Proclamations Presentation - Paul Doty, President of California Youth Soccer Association provided a brief overview of his organization and presented a check for $50,000 in the name of the Colton Youth Soccer Organization from the Cal -South Field Development Foundation toward the Sports Lighting Project at Colton Middle School, and accepted by Mayor Bennett. Presentation Chamber of Commerce President Paul Bracci, provided an update on the new mission statement, new logo, and announced upcoming activities and programs. Proclamation Mayor Bennett read a proclamation honoring Fire Prevention Week, accepted by Fire Chief Hendrix, who invited the public to the annual open house and pancake breakfast.
