Barrera, City Clerk <br />POSSIBLE CONFLICT OF INTEREST DISCLOSURES FOR THE COUNCIL MEETING OF <br />AUGUST 2,2005. <br />Mayor Bennett asked the members present if there were any agenda items that were a conflict <br />of interest pursuant to CIVIC Section 2.04.030. None disclosed. <br />CM Mitchell stated for the record for that under Municipal Code 2.04.030 he received a gift of <br />baseball tickets and parking costs for approximately $284.00 from a party involved in Item No. <br />14 of the Agenda. It is his understanding that the action pending before the council does not <br />require disclosure but he is disclosing the gift out of the presence of caution. <br />CEREMONIAL MATTERS: <br />Presentations, Awards, Proclamations <br />)> Presentation Rod Yahnke, RDA Project Manager 11, who introduced the City of Colton <br />business spotlight recipient Spectrotape Corp., located in District 4. CM <br />Bob Chrisman from City of Loma Linda, recognized Elsie Chan, owner, a <br />resident and an active member of the Loma Linda community, for their <br />contribution for enhancing the economy of the City of Colton. Jim <br />Welling, Loma Linda Chamber of Commerce representative, recognized <br />Elsie Chan for her efforts as a member of the Chamber of Commerce. <br />> Recognition Mr. John Romero, Representing Colton Pony League, recognized the <br />players and coaches; Carlos Contreras, Manager of Colton Pony League, <br />introduced Colton All Stars players. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS:. <br />Weed Abatement <br />This was the time and place fixed to consider a public hearing to adopt a report and statement <br />of expenses for the city's weed abatement program and to consider imposing a lien upon the <br />properties thereof <br />2005 AUGUST 02 REG CC/RDA/CUA MEETING -3- <br />
