City Clerk Padilla announced that the Affidavit of Publication for the public hearing was on file in <br />the City Clerk's office and fourteen protests have been received. <br />Community Development Director Zamora presented an overview of the agenda report for <br />Council consideration and requested approval of staffs recommendation as outlined in the <br />agenda report. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />Fabian Carballo, spoke against the development of this project, he explained that during his <br />campaign he encountered those who opposed the project. <br />Benson Castro, spoke against the development of this project. <br />Margaret Ramirez, spoke against the development of this project. <br />Motion/second by CM De La Rosa/Mitchell to close public hearing. Motion carred. <br />City Attorney Derleth asked if the two new Councilmembers had sufficient information on the <br />project and they acknowledged they had sufficient to make a decision. <br />Motion/second by CM Mitchell/Oliva to approve and adopt Resolution No. R-156-06. Motion <br />carried. <br />ORDINANCE: <br />Waive Full Reading and Pass Second Reading of Ordinance Amending Sections 12.24.010 and <br />12.24.065, and Adding Section 12.24.115 to the Colton Municipal Code Pertaining to the <br />Prohibition of Tobacco Products in City Parks. ORDINANCE NO. 0-23-06. <br />Motion/second by CM De La Rosa/Mitchell to waive full reading and pass second reading of <br />Ordinance No. 0-23-06.
