CITY OF COLTON <br />CLOSED SESSION - COUNCIL/REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY/COLTON UTILITY AUTHORITY <br />APRIL 3, 2007 <br />Closed Session Meeting was held on the above .given date at 5:03 p.m., in the Council <br />Chambers of City Hall, with Mayor Chastain presiding. <br />CITY COUNCIL ROLL CALL <br />Councilmembers present were, Suchil, Mitchell, Oliva, De La Rosa, Toro and Mayor Chastain. <br />City Attorney Derleth announced that the City Council would meet in Closed Session to discuss <br />items A and B. <br />CLOSED SESSION: <br />A. LIABILITY CLAIMS <br />Pursuant to Government Code section 54956.95 <br />Claimant: Daniel de la Hoya <br />Agency claimed against: City of Colton <br />B. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - EXISTING LITIGATION <br />Pursuant to Government Code section 54956.9(e) <br />Name of Case: City of Colton v. Steward <br />Case Number: Orange County Superior Court Case No. 02CC12345 <br />Name of Case: United States v. Oakridge <br />Case. Number: United States District Court Case No. EDCV 02-447 <br />Mayor Chastain adjourned the meeting to Closed Session at 5:04 p.m. and at 6:09 p.m.; the <br />meeting reconvened with all members present as heretofore <br />City Attorney Derleth reported that the Council did meet and did confer in Closed Session on the <br />items previously announced with no reportable action on Item A and reported that on Item B the <br />Council had reached a settlement agreement with William S. McCook and the settlement <br />provides for a payment in the amount of $273,548.00, settlement reached with a five to one <br />vote, with Mayor Pro Tempore Suchil voting "NO". <br />A.
