ANNEXATION OF WEST COLTON <br />NO; 12 TO THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />WHEREAS;, on the second day of February, 1960 a petition was filed with <br />the City Council, of the City of Colton requesting that certain uninhabited <br />territory contiguous to said City be annexe d t o the City o f Colt on and said <br />petition described said territory and the boundaries thereof proposed to be <br />annexed to said City and <br />WHEREAS, the said petition requested the said territory to be annexed <br />to and included in said-thunicipal corporation in accordance with the provisions <br />of the Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, Article 5, Chapter 1, Part 2,, <br />Division 2, Title 4 Government Code of the State of California, Section 35300 et <br />seq;and <br />WHEREAS, the owne r s of mor a tha n one **half of the -ar e a t o be annexe d <br />in consideration of the City Council approving the proposed annexation have <br />consented in writing and filed with the City C lerk of the City of Colton who acts <br />as Clerk of the City Council, their consent and agreement that all of the <br />operty included in the aforesaid territory shall be taxed equally with the <br />ser property within the said City to pay t he bonded indebte dnes s and liab ility <br />the City of Colton contracted prior to or existing or ou tst anding at the time <br />the aforesaid proposed annexation of the of oresaid property as provided in <br />aforesaid Act, and <br />WHEREAS,,, the San Bernardino Boundary Commission has made a com. <br />to linve st4gation and reports that the boundaries submitted concerning the <br />oposed annexation to the City of Colton a s shown in the said petition are both <br />Fertain and definite, and <br />WHEREAS;, the City Council of the City of Colton has made a complete <br />Astigation and report of the entire matter and prooeedi ngs and <br />1 <br />WHEREAS., on the 2nd day of February, 19 60,, a resolution was adopted <br />the aforesaid City Council of the City of Colton,, California, proposing the <br />iexation of the aforesaid uninhabited territory to be generally known as " West <br />,ton Annexation No, 12 to the City of Colton" and <br />
