I jj ORDINANCE NO, 1121 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY s` DESIGNATED "EAST COLTON ANNEXATION j NO. 13" TO THE CITY OF COLTON. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON: j Ii WHEREAS,,, on the 7th day of November, 1961, the Council of the City 6 �j of Colton did pass and adopt Resolution No. 2221 giving notice of the proposal } 7i to annex certain uninhabited territory to the City of Colton, said territory being , g 1! jtherein designated as "East Colton Annexation No. 13" said Resolution describ- ing the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed; and i WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 2221 did contain a notice of the day, i hour and place when and where the Counci 1 of the City would hear protests madej -12 I ' by any person owning real property within the territory proposed to be annexed, 13 the time of said hearing being not less than forty nor more than sixty days from 14i the date of passage of said Resolution; and � 5 '1 WHEREAS, on the 2nd day of January, 1962 at the hour of 7:30 p4 mo , 16 in the Council Chambers in the Civic Center located at 650 North Eighth Street i ?7 �{ in the City of Colton, County of San Bernardino, State of California, said time 18 1 and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution Not, 2221 for , 19i� II! hearing protests to the said annexation, the said City Council did hear and pass 20 i f,� upon all protests made to the proposed annexation and did determine that pro - 2111 tests had not been made by the owners of one-half of the value of the privately 221I 1, 2311 owned territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the last equalized assess - m�ent roll, nor by public owner s of one -half of the value of the publicly owned 24 territory proposed to be annexed as determined by said legislative body; and ?5 ;� WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Colton, and is 26 i uninhabited territory in the County of San Bernardino; 2711 Il NOW., THEREFORE# THE said Council of the City of Colton does here - by approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter described to the City of Colton and does hereby further ordain that the said territory be and is hereby annexed to the City of Colton,
