No electrical equipment shall be installed with- <br />in or on any building, structure of premises, publicly or privately owned, nor <br />shall any alteration or addition be made in any such existing equipment without <br />first securing a permit therefor from the Electrical Safety Engineer except as <br />provided in Section 20. 2 and except that no permit will be required to execute <br />any of the classes of electrical work specified in the following Sections 20. 3 <br />and 20.4. <br />Each General or Electrical Contractor shall submit a complete set of <br />engineered electrical plans, showing in detail service requirements and all <br />other electrical equipment to be used in any building or premises. <br />The foregoing shall apply to all industrial, commercial, semi -commer- <br />cial, and apartment services when such service exceeds 200 amperes. <br />The plans shall be in the possession of the Electrical Inspection Depart- <br />ment before an electrical permit will be issued and before the contractor may <br />start work and they shall have both the approval of the serving utility and the <br />Electrical Safety Engineer. <br />Section 30. 4. That Section 30. 4 be amended to read as follows: <br />Fees to be collected from any person, firm, corporation or political <br />sub -division, to whom a permit for doing electrical work in the City of Colton <br />has been granted, shall be determined by Resolution of the City Council. <br />SECTION FOUR: Said Uniform Wiring Code is hereby amended by <br />adding thereto the sections, sub -sections and paragraphs hereinafter set forth <br />to read as follows: <br />Section 150. 28. All service poles for permanent or temporary service <br />shall comply with rules of the Public Utilities Commission, Electrical Safety <br />Orders and the Uniform Wiring Code, and shall be located where approved by <br />the Electrical Safety Engineer and the serving agency. <br />Section 150.29. Entrance Conductors. All entrance conductors used <br />for service or commercial, industrial and residential buildings shall be copper <br />conductor s. <br />Section 150. 30. No structure of any nature shall be attached to a per - <br />1Imanent building directly beneath an existing service drop or where the same <br />1 will interfere with any service entrance equipment. Service not in conformity <br />2 herewith shall be relocated to suitable locations with the approval of both the <br />I <br />
