I ORDINANCE NO, 1157 2 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY' DESIGNATED 3 "EAST COLTON ANNEXATION NO. 19" TO THE CITY OF COLTONo 4 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON: 51 6 i WHEREAS, on the 16th day of April, 1963, the Council of the City of 7 Colton did pass and adopt Resolution No, 2358 giving notice of the proposal to 8' annex certain uninhabited territory to the City of Colton, said territory being therein designated as "East Colton Annexation No. 19" said Resolution describ- 9 10 ing the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed; and 11 WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 2358 did contain a notice of the day, 12 hour and place when and where the Council of the City would hear protests made 13 by any person owning real property within the territory proposed to be annexed, 14 the time of said hearing being not less than forty nor more than sixty days from 15 the date of passage of said Resolution; and 16 WHEREAS, on the 4th day of June, 1963 at the hour of 7:30 p.m. in the 17 Council Chambers in the Civic Center located at 650 North Eighth Street in the 18 (City of Colton, County of San Bernardino, State of California, said time and 19 place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution No. 2358 for hearing 20 protests to the said annexation, the said City Council did hear and pass upon all 21 protests made to the proposed annexation and did determine that protests had 22 not been made by the owners of one-half of the value of the privately owned 23 territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the last equalized assessment roll, 24 nor by public owners of one-half of the value of the publicly owned territory 25 1 proposed to be annexed as determined by said legislative body; and 26 WHEREAS,,. said territory is contiguous to the City of Colton, and is 27 uninhabited territory in the County of San Bernardino; 28 NOW„ THEREFORE. the said Council of the City of Colton does hereby 29 approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter described to the City of 30 Colton and does hereby further ordain that the said territory be and is hereby 31 annexed to the City of Colton. 32
