I ORDINANCE NO, 1170 2 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY,, 3 DESIGNATED "SOUTH COLTON ANNEXATION NO„ 11" TO THE CITY OF COLTON, 41 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON: 5�1 i� WHEREAS., on the 6th day of August, 1963, the Council of the City y of Colton did pass and adopt Resolution No. 2387 giving notice of the proposal 7� p p to annex certain uninhabited territory to the City of Colton, said territory y ,l { being therein designated as "South Colton Annexation No, 11" said Resolution gl describing the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed; and xol I11 WHEREAS$ said Resolution No. 2387 did contain a notice of the day, 12hour and place when and where the Council of the City would hear protests 13 I made by any person owning real property within the territory proposed to be 14 annexed, the til -ie of said hearing being not less than forty nor more than 1511 sixty days from the date of passage of said Resolution; and 11 16 � a1 WHEREAS,, on the 17th day of September, 1963, at the hour of 7:30 p.m. 17 1IC in the Council Chambers in the Civic Center loca ' ted at 650 North Eighth 18Street in the City of Colton, County of San Bernardino, State of California, 11 l9said time and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution 20 No. 2387 for hearing protests to the said annexation, the said City Council 21 did hear and pass upon all protests made to the proposed annexation and did 22 determine that protests had not been made by the owners of one-half of the 23 value of the privately owned territory proposed to be annexed as shown by 24 the last equalized assessment roll, nor by public owners of one-half of the 25 value of the publicly owned territory proposed to be annexed as determined by said legislative body; and 26 27 WHEREAS., said territory is contiguous to the City of Colton, and is 28 uninhabited territory in the County of San Bernardino; 291 ( NOW, THEREFORE, the said Council of the City of Colton does 30 hereby approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter described to the 31 1 City of Colton and does hereby further ordain that the said territory be and is hereby annexed to the City of Colton., 321
