That the amount necessary to be raised by taxation upon <br />taxable property in the City of Colton as a revenue to carry on the various depart- <br />ments of the City of Colton for the current year 1965-1966 and to pay the bonded <br />indebtedness of said City and the expense of collection is $286,801.'00. <br />SECTION 2. This Ordinance is for the immediate preservation of the <br />public peace, health and safety and shall take effect immediately upon its adop- <br />tion and publication. The facts constituting the urgency thereof are as follows: <br />This Ordinance is adopted pursuant to the general laws of the State of <br />California for levying municipal taxes to provide for the maintenance of the <br />various governmental functions of the City of Colton including police protection, <br />fire protection, health regulations and other functions which preserve the public <br />health and safety in the City of Colton. <br />ATTEST: <br />I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed by the City <br />PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED, this 17th day of August, 1965. <br />Council of the City of Colton at a regular meeting thereof held on August 17, <br />1965 by the following vote, to wit: <br />AYES: Councilmen Coltrin , Kaney, Holtzendorff, Oliva, Spragins <br />NOES: Councilmen None <br />ABSENT: Councilmen None <br />(- -- x, / ' <br />
