ORDINANCE NO. 1274 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CER- TAIN SECTIONS OF ORDINANCE NO. 964. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. That Article VII, Sec- tion 700 (12) be amended to read as follows: Article VII. Section 700 (12): Signs attached to building, provid- in gthe total square foot area of the sign shall not exceed a ratio of two (2) square feet of sign to one (1) lin- eal front foot width of the main building on the parcel and further providing that such sign shall not extend out or above such building and shall pertain to the use conduct- ed within the building. SECTION 2. That Article VIII, Section 801 be amended to read as follows: Article VIII. Section 801 — Height Any building or structure exceed- ing thirty-five (35) feet in height shall be set back one (1) foot from each side and rear property line for each foot such building or structure ex- ceeds the height of thirty-five (35) feet. SECTION 3. That Section 805 (3) be amended to read as follows: Section 805: Limitations on Permit- ted uses in C-1 Zone (3) Signs. (a) One (1) freestanding sign for each one hundred (100) feet of parcel width. (o) Signs attached to and parallel with the walls of the building Providing such signs shall not ex- tend above the roof of such building. (c) All signs shall pertain only to the use conducted within the building. SECTION 4. That Article IX, Sec- tion 901 be amended to read as fol- lows: Section 901. Height. Any building or structure exceed- ing forty-five (45) feet in height shall be set back one (1) foot from each side and rear property line for each foot such building or structure ex- ceeds the height of forty-five (45) feet. SECTION 5. That Article IX a, Section 911 of Ordinance No. 964 is hereby repealed. SECTION 6. That Article X, Sec- tion 1001 is hereby repealed. SECTION 7. That Article XI, Sec- tion 1102 is hereby repealed. SECTION 8. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall be in force and ef- fect thirty days after final passage. SECTION 9. Publication. That City Clerk shall certify to the adop- tion and cause the same to be pub- lished once in the Colton Courier. SIGNED AND APPROVED this 8th day of June, 1966. PASCUAL S.
