Maintenance. All fences shall be kept <br />in a state of repair so as not to be hazardous or dangerous and <br />those used to protect the general public shall be maintained so <br />as to be sufficient and adequate for that purpose. All fences <br />shall be neatly maintained so as not to be unsightly. <br />Section VII. Enforcement. <br />(a) The Building Department is specifically charged <br />with the enforcement of the provisions hereof. If special or <br />unusual conditions are encountered, location, height and con- <br />struction may be limited further. <br />1. Any person erecting or constructing any <br />fence within the City of Colton shall obtain a permit from the <br />City Building Department prior to said construction or erection. <br />2. All concrete block walls shall be built per <br />City Standards or of approved design. <br />Section VIII. Penalty. Any person violating any <br />provisions of this Ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and <br />upon conviction thereof shall be punishable by a fine of not more <br />than $500 or by imprisonment in the County Jail for a period of <br />not longer than six months or by both such fine and imprisonment. <br />
