That the amount necessary to be raised <br />by taxation upon taxable property in the City of Colton as a <br />revenue to carry on the various departments of the City of Colton <br />for the current year 1969-70 and to pay the bonded indebtedness <br />of said City and the expense of collection, is $5411248.00 . <br />SECTION TWO. This ordinance is for the immediate <br />preservation of the public peace, health and safety and shall <br />take effect immediately upon its adoption and publication. The <br />facts constituting the urgency thereof are as follows: <br />This ordinance is adopted pursuant to the general <br />laws of the State of California for levying municipal taxes to <br />provide for the maintenance of the various governmental functions <br />of the City of Colton including police protection, fire protec- <br />tion, health regulations and other functions which preserve the <br />public health and safety in the City of Colton. <br />PASSED, ADOPTED and APPROVED this 26= day of <br />August 1969 <br />2711 ATTEST: <br />29 IZABETH DAVIS <br />City Clerk <br />30 <br />31 <br />32 <br />
