That the amount necessary to be raised <br />by taxation upon taxable property in the City of Colton as a revenue to carry <br />on the various departments of the City of Colton for the current year 1970-71 <br />and to pay the bonded indebtedness of said City and the expense of collection, <br />is $574,207.00. <br />SECTION TWO. This ordinance is for the immediate <br />preservation of the public peace, health and safety and shall take effect <br />immediately upon its adoption and publication. The facts constituting the <br />urgency thereof are as follows: <br />This ordinance is adopted pursuant to the general laws <br />of the State of California for levying municipal taxes to provide for the <br />maintenance of the various governmental functions of the City of Colton <br />including police protection, fire protection, health regulations and other <br />functions which preserve the public health and safety in the City of Colton. <br />PASSED,, ADOPTED and APPROVED this 27th day <br />of August , 1970. <br />ATTEST: <br />ELI T H DAVIS <br />CW Clerk <br />WILE D E.
