<br />at all the times herein mentioned had and still
<br />has a bona fide subscription list of paying sub-
<br />scribers, and which newspaper has been estab-
<br />lished, printed and published at regular intervals
<br />in the said City of Colton, State of California,
<br />County of San Bernardino, for a period exceeding
<br />one year next preceding the date of publication of
<br />the notice hereinafter referred to; and which news-
<br />paper is not devoted to nor published for the in-
<br />terests, entertainment or instruction of a particular
<br />class, profession, trade, calling, race, or denomin-
<br />ation, or any number of same; that the notice, of
<br />which the annexed is a printed copy, has been
<br />published in each regular and entire issue of said
<br />newspaper and not in any supplement thereof on

<br />ORDINANCE NO. 1377
<br />The City Council of the City- Of
<br />blton does ordain as follows:
<br />SECTION 1. Holidays. Employees
<br />of the City of Colton shall have the
<br />following Political Code holidays
<br />as,vacation with pay:
<br />(a} January 1st, known as "New
<br />Year's Day"
<br />(b) February 12, known as
<br />"Lincoln's Birthday"
<br />(c) Third Monday in February,
<br />known as "Washington's Bir.
<br />thday"
<br />(d) Last Monday in May, known
<br />as "Memorial Day"
<br />(e) July 4, known as "In.
<br />dependence Day"
<br />«, (f) First Monday in September,
<br />known as "Labor Day
<br />(g) September 9, known' es
<br />"Admission Day
<br />(h) Second Monday in October,
<br />known as "Columbus Day"
<br />(i) Fourth Monday in October,
<br />known as j"Veteran's Day"
<br />(1) December 25th, "Christ-
<br />mas'i
<br />(k) "Good Friday" from 12
<br />Noon until 3:00 P.M.
<br />(I) Every day on which an
<br />election is held throughout the
<br />state.

<br />President or Governor for a

<br />SECTION 2. Holidays falling on
<br />1�eturday or Sunday. When a holiday
<br />falls on Sunday, the following
<br />(Monday shall be observed.
<br />SECTION 3. Ordinance No. 1028,
<br />)073 and 1280 are ,hereby repealed.
<br />SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall
<br />Certify to the passage of this or-
<br />aloance, and shat l cause the same to
<br />be published once in the Colton
<br />%oueler, a newspaper of general
<br />circulation within the City of Colton.
