CREDIT UPON T,,EVTED ASSESSMENTS IN A SPECIAL ASSESSMENT DISTRICT KNOWN AND DESIGNATED AS ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 1976-1 (COOLEY DRIVE). WHEREAS, at this time, the City of Colton is proceeding to institute proceedings for the formation of a special assessment district for the construction of certain street improvements,, together with utilities and appurtenances and appurtenant work in connection therewith in said City, pursuant to the provisions of .the "Municipal Improvement Act of 1913", being Division. 12 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, with said improvements to be financed through bonds to be issued pursuant to the provisions of the "Improvement Bond Act of 1915", being Division 10 of said Code; said special assessment district shall be for the extension of Cooley Drive, easterly of Mt. Veri Avenue generally as shown on a map previously approved by the City Council and on file in the Office of the City Clerk; and, WHEREAS, at this time, this City is desirous of making avail- able, as a contribution, certain monies received from the Re- development Agency for the City of Colton for the project known as Project IV Cooley Ranch (hereinafter referred to as the "Pro.- 25 Prop ject") and also said monies available from said Project have been made available to the City by a contract between the City of Colton and the Redevelopment Agency for the City of Colton. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF. THE CITY OF COLTON,-CALIFORNIA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the above recitals are all true and correct. SECTION 2.
